Privacy Policy

Quiet Voyage ("the app", "we", "us") is a focus-timer app for iOS published by EGK Digital. This policy explains what information the app stores, who processes it, and what choices you have. We designed Quiet Voyage to work entirely on your device with as little data collection as possible.

1. Summary

• Quiet Voyage does not require an account and does not run its own server.
• Quiet Voyage does not include any advertising or analytics/tracking SDK.
• Your voyage history, streaks, badges, and app preferences are stored only in UserDefaults on your device — they are never transmitted to us.
• Subscription purchases are handled by Apple (StoreKit) and RevenueCat, which act as our payment/entitlement processors. See §3.
• Notifications (voyage-complete, reminders) are scheduled locally on your device — we never see when or whether you receive them.

2. Information stored on your device

The app stores the following locally, using Apple's UserDefaults (and, if enabled, on-device local notifications). None of this is sent to EGK Digital or to any server we operate:

• Voyage history — completed and saved focus sessions (harbor chosen, duration, start time, nautical miles sailed), used to compute your Captain's Log stats, streaks, and achievement badges.
• Preferences — selected harbor, route, sound/volume settings, appearance, language, and notification toggles.
• Local notification schedule — the time your current voyage is expected to end, and (if you opt in) a daily reminder time, stored by iOS to trigger a local alert. No content leaves your device to schedule these.

This data stays on your device (and in your personal iCloud device/app backups, if you have iCloud or iTunes backup enabled for the app — a setting controlled by iOS itself, not by us). We have no access to it.

3. Subscriptions: RevenueCat and Apple

Quiet Voyage Premium is an auto-renewable subscription sold through Apple's App Store. To manage entitlements (i.e., to know whether your device should have premium features unlocked) we use two third-party processors:

• Apple / StoreKit — processes the purchase itself and your payment method. We never see your payment details. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat, Inc. — a subscription-management platform that receives an anonymous, app-generated user identifier and your purchase receipt/transaction data from Apple, so the app can verify and restore your subscription across devices. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or payment card details from us. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

We do not sell, rent, or share this information with data brokers or advertisers.

4. No tracking, no advertising

Quiet Voyage contains no advertising network, no third-party analytics SDK, and does not use the App Tracking Transparency framework because it does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

5. Ambient sound and microphone

The app can play bundled ambient soundscapes during a focus session. This is local audio playback only — the app does not record, access, or transmit audio from your microphone.

6. Children's privacy

Quiet Voyage is a general-audience productivity app and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app stores data only on-device and collects no personal information from us directly, there is no server-side account data to request or delete. If you believe a child has provided us information in error (for example, via a support email), contact us at the address below and we will address it.

7. Your rights and choices (GDPR / CCPA)

Because Quiet Voyage does not operate its own backend or collect personal data on our servers, most data subject rights (access, correction, portability, deletion) are exercised directly on your device:

• Delete your voyage history and preferences — use Deck → Reset All Progress inside the app, or delete the app, which removes all locally stored data immediately.
• Manage or cancel your subscription — via Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device, or the Manage Premium link inside the app's Deck screen.
• RevenueCat data — RevenueCat retains an anonymous app-user identifier and purchase transaction records for as long as needed to provide entitlement/restore services and to comply with financial recordkeeping obligations; contact RevenueCat or us to ask about this record.

Residents of the EEA/UK and California may have additional statutory rights under GDPR/UK GDPR and the CCPA respectively. Because we hold no personal data of our own outside the processors named above, requests can be directed to us at the contact below and we will route them appropriately.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and, where required by law, provide additional notice.
